Ryuk and other forms of ransomware have been hammering healthcare providers for months, and not by accident. Money-focused cybercriminals have been increasingly targeting their campaigns at healthcare providers because they believe the probability of success - substantial payment - is very high. The FBI has even declared that the US healthcare system is facing an "increased and imminent" threat of these sorts of cyberattacks. This increased threat has rightly put the focus on how healthcare providers can improve their IT security and resilience - but without requiring massive budget increases and expensive new hires. In this session the panelist will delve into what investments are worth greater focus and which are not, and how to honestly assess your organization's readiness to defend against ransomware and other forms of security threats.
